23rd International Solidarity Affair (ISA)

KMU will hold its 23rd International Solidarity Affair (ISA) on April 30 - May 9, 2007 in Manila, Philippines.

The first ISA was held in 1984 during the Marcos’ dictatorship when trade union repression was at its worst. Trade union leaders and members of KMU were among the many victims of political repression. This situation necessitated support and solidarity from trade unions and trade unionists all over the world.  read full article »

Labor group gives tribute to pro-worker solon; reminds employers not to delay Christmas bonuses for private sector workers



Labor center Kilusang Mayo Uno (KMU) today gave tribute to Cong. Roseller Barinaga of Zamboanga del Norte, also the Co-Chairman of the Congressional Oversight Committee on Labor and Employment (COCLE). Task Force Obrero Relief and Medical Mission

Vicente "Boy" Barrios speaking in front of media during the LSEMVicente "Boy" Barrios, president of the Nagkahiusang Mamumuo sa Suyapa Farm (NAMASUFA-NAFLU-KMU) and three other workers were shot at around 5:30 early this morning.
